=== Don't Mission While Drunk ===
So I get home one night from a nice dinner out with some mates. Had a few bottles of vino and was feeling pretty good. Unfortunately I was'nt very tired, so I logged in and decide to do a few missions. 2nd or 3rd mission I get sends me over to a system that directly connects to 0.0. I run the mission. When I'm done, I say to myself, ok, don't warp to the wrong gate. So what did I do? Wardped to the wrong gate, jumped right into 0.0. Overview showslarge bubbles and my first thought was "How did they get bubbles up in empire?", second thought was "Oh ****". Other than bubbles, the gate was clear so all I can do is try to make it back to the gate before someone realizes I'm there and get out. No one shows up and I make it back to empire. And thus my, then 4 bil isk CNR, was safe again.
=== Pay the f@ck attention === So after living in 0.0 for so long with a strict NBSI policy, I decide I want to test out a jaguar. To empire I go. I wasn't very wealthy and between the ship, full t2 fit and ammo, my wallet was cleaned dry. SO it's off to home I go. Hi-sec went fine, made my first low sec jump, no camp but I gotta **** pretty bad so I dock up. Ended up getting caught in a phone call coming out of the loo that took me about half an hour. So I finally get back to the game, undock and start making my way. Low and behold, I jump the next gate and before I uncloak, I see a pod coming in at range, apparently autopiloting. Lock, boom boom, and then I realized that I myself was in a pod. Damn gate guns, should have paid attention to NOT being in 0.0. The worst part, I lost the Jag and everything that went with it AND I failed to pop the pod...
=== No Transversal === SO my mates and I are fighting these folks a few jumps from home. I've been flying Claws, Stillettos and Vagas for quite a while and pretty decent at it at this point in time. One of the scout's calls out on vent that there are 2 tempests and a Mega sitting off station in sniping spots. The fleet boss initiates the warp and I hear "Gettem Jimmy". I'm the first to land in my Vaga, aim for the gap between the 2 tempests and start burning in to get the point on. 200km...175km...150km...125km...50km...25km... "POINT". Well, here's teh problem. Doing 20km/s in a vaga was great and everything, but you tend to over shoot your target.. by alot and I did. I overshot JUST enough that my transversal went to pretty much zip and well, 2 tempests and mega damnnear instapopped me before I got back into orbit. What I had NOT realized was the 3rd tempest and 2nd megathron that had warped in to snipe on the first sniper's position. And thus ended my excursion with the first domination warp disrupter I bought.
=== not the pod === So I'm new to the game and all. I get invited into this great corp of guys with alot of experience and SP. One night, one of the corp members calls out that he's got a can looter and we need to go after him. Half the corp undocks and fleets up. Tempest, Raven, Zealot, Astarte and 1 or 2 others I cant recall. We warp to the gate and the thief isnt there, we jump, see him in local and warp to the next gate. The Tempest and Raven being quite slow, we go into warp long after the others. THERE HE IS all flashy and what not. The guys on the gate engage and pop the OMEN while us in BS's are still in warp. The guy in the zealot, who had his cans looted decided it was a good idea to teach this noob a lesson and pops the pod. CONCORD went ape****. We didnt even make it all the way out of warp before we were soundly thumped and sitting in pods. Moral of the story, dont pod can looters in empire...
